Former AAP minister Kumar surrenders after woman in CD cries rape
She said, “I am with my husband”.
In his blog written for a TV channel, Ashutosh had referred to the alleged affairs of Nehru and Gandhi while seeking to defend Kumar. But according to the woman’s allegations, Sandeep Kumar had given her a “cold drink laced with drugs” after drinking which she lost her consciousness.
The woman, who was seen with sacked AAP Minister Sandeep Kumar in an alleged sex video has filed a rape case against him on Saturday.
Convenor of AAP – Kejriwal said that he would prefer to forfeit his party but never tolerate wrongful activities and corruption, because the Aam Aadmi Party does not believe in hiding flaws of its members.
Sandeep, who represents Sultanpur Majra assembly constituency, has claimed that he was paying the price for being a dalit.
Sandeep Kumar was arrested on Saturday, days after he was dismissed as minister for women and child development in the region covering Delhi.
Kumar was removed from the AAP government on August 31 by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after the CD purportedly showing him with the woman surfaced.
Unfortunately, Indian politics is notorious for being traditional with even bigger sex scandals where even a veteran notorious politician was proved guilty both on camera and in court for much-more heinous sex-crimes. She also said she did not know any video of the incident was recorded.
The women alleged the minister had promised her a job and help in securing a government benefits card.. “The truth will come out soon”, Sandeep Kumar’s wife told mediapersons after meeting her husband at the Sultanpuri police station.
Kejriwal said although the turn of events and the fact that “such people” were in the party “saddened” him, he takes “pride” from the fact that AAP did not attempt to “cover up” the transgressions.
“I come from a poor family”.
In an earlier statement Sandeep Kumar has maintained that he was being targeted for being a Dalit and demanded a judicial probe into the issue.
Sources in the party said that after Kejriwal’s return, Sisodia and Jain are expected to go to Goa for campaigning, which may further delay the announcement of Kumar’s replacement.
