Former Chelsea star BEGS John Stones to stay at Everton
After Chelsea had pre-season bids of £20million and £26million for Stones rejected, Everton on Tuesday refused to comment on reports they had turned down a third offer of £30million.
Chelsea target John Stones is reportedly prepared to hand in a transfer request to force a move away from Everton, reports the Daily Mail.
Speaking prior to the start of Chelsea’s season – which has begun with a Community Shield loss to Arsenal, a draw with Swansea and the City defeat – Mourinho said: “We have five defenders and we can not go to the Premier League with five defenders”.
Steven Naismith is confident John Stones will remain at Everton and has praised the defender’s professionalism amid interest from Chelsea.
“He is playing and is learning a lot from Phil Jagielka”, the Belgium global said, as quoted by the Mirror. We need to concentrate that in 48 hours we face a team who are at the top of league. Aiden McGeady was part of the travelling squad, so we have good numbers. Stones will be a contender for a place alongside Gary Cahill in the competition, should he continue his good form with Everton. “My only concern is preparing for the game”.
They have carried the momentum into the new term with back-to-back 3-0 demolitions of West Brom and champions Chelsea.
He told reporters: “The only focus is on Man City on Sunday”.
‘If I was to pick a name I think United should sign, it would be the boy John Stones, he’s a tremendous prospect, ‘ says Docherty.
Martinez stated: “That isn’t simply one thing that occurs with me or at Everton”.
Pellegrini added: “It is a hard challenge”.
It is a dream of many footballers to play for the Red Devils, and it would make flawless sense for Stones to move to Old Trafford.
