Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan introduces her gorgeous baby girl
The former Coronation Street actress gave birth to her daughter with long-term boyfriend Scott Sinclair on Monday 29 June weighing 7lb 6oz – but it wasn’t plain sailing.
After her tough labour, Helen said she was instantly besotted with her little bundle of joy. Matilda was in the back-to-back position, which made it even more painful, and at one point my back was hurting so much that I screamed out for the doctor to give me an epidural.
‘I had to be cut before they could deliver her, but Scott was great throughout, he was holding my hand and stroking my head to try and comfort me’.
He said: “I was exhausted because I didn’t want to fall asleep for too long as I knew Helen’s contractions might start again and I wanted to be there for her”.
Flanagan admitted she is “completely obsessed” by her newborn daughter and can’t stop hugging and kissing her.
It wasn’t only Flanagan who was overjoyed at becoming a parent for the first time.
While her boyfriend Scott said he loves that they’re a proper family unit now.
Helen Flanagan has revealed she was in labour for three days, but she says the pain was “worth it” for her baby daughter. I can’t wait to have more babies with Scott.
In an adorable image simply captioned “my everything”, Helen held her baby close to her bosom as she smiled into the camera.
A third picture saw Matilda reclining on a stripy blanket in a romper suit with the words “apple of my mummy’s eye” on it.
In an interview with OK! magazine, the new mum reveals that her labour lasted for nearly three days, and her elaborate plans for the birth went out of the window.
