Former President George W. Bush Shows Up at Courthouse for Jury Duty
Former President George W Bush caused a stir in a Dallas court when he turned up for jury service.
He was not chosen for the panel in Dallas, but did have his picture taken with onlookers before leaving.
Unfortunately, the former commander-in-chief was unable to serve on this occasion, as the jury was filled by other members before his turn to enter the courtroom for consideration.
Joel Ehambe, another potential juror, described the moment he realised he was sitting in front of the former president.
Another potential juror said he was surprised to find the former president right behind him at the 14th civil district court.
“He was there for about three hours and posed for photos with other jury candidates, judges, and court staff”, Ford added.
Suddenly, hopes that “I’m super busy at work” will get us out of jury duty seem less likely. Vice President Joe Biden also reported for jury duty in Delaware on January 2011 but was not selected to serve.
