Former Seahawks player Tarvaris Jackson arrested in Florida
According to an arrest report signed Friday morning by deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff’s office, Jackson was intoxicated and told his wife, “I’ll kill you”. He was arrested for aggravated assault.
Shortly after, Jackson pulled out a gun, loaded it and told his wife, “I will kill you”. Police arrested Jackson and he was released from Osceola County Jail after posting $2,500 bond. According to the report tweeted out by Hush, a witness grabbed Jackson and stopped him from shooting, while the victim grabbed a kitchen knife and iron for protection.
According to the police report, there were three children asleep in bedrooms in the house. She told deputies that “she was in fear not knowing what Jackson was going to do since he was drunk”, an arrest affidavit said.
Jackson, who played for National Football League teams including the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks and is now a free agent, was staying at a vacation home in the Regal Oaks Resort near Kissimmee.
Jackson, who has spent the past four seasons with the Seahawks, got into an argument with his wife.
A Black Ruger SR9C 9mm gun was found at the scene and police also seized marijuana.
He has been Seattle’s backup since, playing under one-year contracts. Seattle now has Trevone Boykin, a rookie for TCU, behind Wilson.
“Tarvaris has been a fantastic kid for us over the years, but they’re not in the same style”, Carroll said.
A prep star at Sidney Lanier in Montgomery, Jackson was a second-round draft choice out of Alabama State in 2006.
