Former UW chanceller Donna Shalala hospitalized
Earlier this year, she joined the Clinton Foundation, becoming the leader of the nonprofit organization, according to CNN.
Donna Shalala, a former cabinet secretary under President Bill Clinton and the current President and CEO of the Clinton Foundation, was hospitalized late Tuesday after suffering a stroke.

The 74-year-old Shalala was stricken last night after a meeting in New York of the Clinton Global Initiative.
“Fortunately she was with colleagues at the time and taken to the hospital for treatment”, Bill and Chelsea Clinton said.
“We will continue to share updates as we know more”, the Clinton’s statement concluded.
Shalala, 74, a former USA secretary of health and human services who served in Clinton’s administration during the 1990s, was named president and chief executive officer of the foundation in March. “Initial reports are very encouraging”, the statement said.
