Fortnite’s Shadow Stones Disabled Because Ghosts Are Killing Players
Fortnite players were treated to a bunch of new and improved features with the season six rollout yesterday, including pets in backpacks, floating islands, a haunted mansion, corn fields, and more. Explore mysterious map changes, uncover spooky secrets and unbox a new Battle Pass. “This is embarrassing and unintended”, an Epic Games rep told PC Gamer. Your companion options include a small dog, a dragon and a chameleon. They’re constantly buffing and nerfing weapons while adding completely new ones into the mix.
Shadow Stones allow you to turn invisible, phase through walls and surprise other players.
Not only is this a nice addition to those looking to collect everything going, but also, they often lead to extra Battle Stars to help you progress through your Battle Pass.
Here’s where you can find a Supply Llama in Fortnite, including tips on where they spawn. The downside to using them is that you can’t use any weapons or items when in the shadow form and you leave behind a trail when moving around. That said, they can move faster, jump higher and have a better fall damage immunity.
I haven’t seen it in action in a match, but in some ways it takes the place of the vaulted bouncers, letting you make a quick, cyberpunk getaway.
For players interested in grabbing new costumes and pets, the new Season 6 battle pass is now available, which unlocks the items as players play more and unlock new levels.
