Four killed in helicopter crash in Fort Hood
A U.S. Army UH-60 helicopter similar to this one crashed during a training mission in Fort Hood, Texas, on Monday.
Emergency crews searched the area for wreckage and discovered the bodies of the four crew members.
Officials said the crew were assigned to Division West, First Army, and were taking part in a routine training mission at the time of the crash.
A board is being assembled to investigate the cause of the crash.
Post officials did not release the names of the victims, saying Tuesday that their identities would be made public 24 hours after the families have been notified.
The helicopters are manufactured at the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation production facilities based in Stratford, Connecticut, USA.
And in March, 11 service members were killed when their Black Hawk helicopter went down in waters off the Florida Panhandle.
