Fox Topix: Mental Illness Awareness
Anderson hopes Stepping Up will be a way to de-stigmatize mental illness in America. Four of my six family members were hospitalized with diagnoses ranging from schizophrenia to borderline personality disorder to depression. We loved each other and, together, worked through life’s rough spots.
In the foreword to the report that accompanies the day’s awareness raising, Professor George Christodoulou, president of the World Federation for Mental Health, explains the thinking behind this year’s focus.
This statistics was announced on Saturday by WHO Regional Director for Africa, Dr. Matshidiso Moeti, during a message she delivered on this year’s World Mental Health Day.

People across Kent will be able to access information about support services at a range of venues including Thanet, Tonbridge, Sheppey, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells and Whitstable.
