France strikes ISIS from newly-deployed carrier – ministry
Mr Cameron promised Britain will do all in its power to help destroy “evil” ISIS and said the atrocities would bring the world together in “defence of our values”.
The Charles de Gaulle carries eighteen Rafale fighters and eight Super Etendard fighters, as well as other combat and reconnaissance technologies.

France says it has carried out their first attacks against positions of the Daesh terror group in Iraq’s northern and western parts from Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, which was newly deployed in the Mediterranean Sea.
The seven-hour bombings targeted Islamic State group in the Iraqi cities of Ramadi and Mosul.
The French military released in the evening a few video footage showing Rafale jets taking off from the Charles de Gaulle.

French President Francois Hollande said earlier in Paris: “We will intensify our strikes, choosing targets that will do the most damage possible to this army of terrorists”.
A USA military spokesman said that in the earlier USA strike that destroyed 116 trucks, the leaflets dropped stated: “Get out of your trucks now, and run away from them”.
The Russian news wire TASS reported that Russian military forces in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea made contact with the French naval group and would coordinate their efforts.
