France to deport 20 Russians for violence at Euro 2016
Riot police threw tear gas and charged hundreds of English fans who reportedly caused most of the distubances.
Separately, Russian supporters were among 10 people arrested before the country’s latest game in Lille on Wednesday.
Marseille police also said an additional 20 Russian fans were to be expelled from France, while three others were to go on trial.
England plays Wales in the nearby city of Lens on Thursday.
The governing body of European soccer said it was planning no Executive Committee meeting in the wake of the overnight violence on the streets of Lille.

“I have been given a resolution of Marseille’s prefect which says that according to information provided by the Russian side, we can be members of groups of active fans and hence allegedly pose a threat to security”. See PA story SPORT Euro2016.
England fans gathering in bars in the city chanted foul-mouthed songs, but others said the atmosphere was good.
The French interior ministry also disclosed details of the policing operation throughout the first week of Euro 2016, saying 323 people had been detained, 196 jailed, eight convicted and 24 expelled from the country. “That stands for Russians and British citizens and the French justice deals with them in the same manner”.
“Everything is in place and working”.
After three days of disorder in Marseille, when there were pockets of real violence involving England fans, much of it where they were the victims of Russian assaults, authorities were on high alert when both sets of supporters headed north for their next matches. A heavy police team carried out similar checks in pouring rain on arrival 45 minutes later in Lens. They were confronted by a group of Albania fans, leading police to intervene inside the fan zone.
“And I believe there are many sensible people among the fans who realise that any violations can not express their support for the team they love – any violations only jeopardise the teams they support”.
They were already on their second cans of lager as the train pulled away.
After fresh clashes in Lille, UEFA said on Thursday that it regretted the unrest on the streets of Lille overnight. “We’ll be fine with the Welsh”, said a Coventry City fan eating a sandwich on the route towards the Stadium Bollaert-Delelis.
British travellers using Dover have been warned that French officials are refusing to allow vehicles carrying alcohol to cross its borders.
“A reminder to fans to enjoy the rest of the tournament, keep yourselves safe and behave responsibly – do not retaliate to provocation and seek help from police if you are harassed or attacked”.
Yuril Shabanov, 14, from the Russian city of Perm, was en route to the game with his father and two friends, all with Russian flags around their shoulders.
Russian Federation lost to Slovakia 2-1 on Wednesday.
The Russian ministry accused French authorities of failing to notify its diplomats of the action and keeping 43 people locked in the bus for hours, calling on France to “make a decision on their fates as soon as possible”.
