France Vows to Continue ISIS War ‘Without Mercy’
Facing military setbacks in its self-declared caliphate in Syria and Iraq and intensified air strikes from a US-led coalition, Islamic State may have decided in September to take the fight to France and elsewhere.
Will the latest atrocity committed in Paris by the self-professed soldiers of Allah alter the West’s limp response to their challenge?
“I am not trying to have pride of authorship here; I’m trying to protect America from another 9/11”, Graham said. But what must they do to prevent these attacks from happening? Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, said, “I deem it necessary to officially condemn the terrorist attacks in the French capital, Paris, which were committed by Daesh (ISIS)”.
Addressing the nation just hours after 129 people were killed, he said they had been organised and planned from overseas.
Carson also warned of the danger of extremists infiltrating the ranks of refugees fleeing violence in the Middle East. “I urge the president to get on this now – in a much more assertive and consequent manner than we have seen from his administration to date”.
The deployment of a French aircraft carrier into the region to take part in the war against ISIS is also being presented as part of this move to really start going after ISIS, though again, this deployment was announced well before the Paris attacks, suggesting that the reaction was actually on ISIS’ part, not France’s.
TEMPLE-RASTON: Well, in addition to looking for suspects and accomplices, officials are anxious about follow-on attacks. “And either they win or we win”. They have also called for introducing more steps to stop Islamic State fighters and the flow of money across borders, and to better understand how the group’s core leadership in Iraq and Syria communicates with other nodes. I hope I am wrong because these heartbreaking terrorist attacks will become the norm if inaction continues. It’s not a law enforcement operation.
“Now, we have to lead”, Bush said. “This is an organized effort to destroy western civilization”. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said Saturday. While the Kurdish fighters of the People’s Protection Units, known as the YPG, are a strong force, the US believes that only Sunnis will be able to hold that territory once it is liberated from ISIS. The group “is not being contained, they are spreading world-wide”. “They are at our shores and their measure of victory is the body count”.
“The Islamic State is sending a message to the global community, including the USA, about its growing capabilities, about its intention to target Western interests – and, about the price of worldwide involvement in the Syrian conflict”.
“One candidate in this race has said he knows more about ISIS than our generals. He is wrong and deeply misguided”, Fiorina said.
The White House says the 35-minute encounter centred on talks to end Syria’s civil war and the two leaders agreed the country needed a political transition led by Syrians. If it was, what should be done and what should the united States and president be doing right now? I stated the importance of getting Russian Federation on board, who have since got involved in Syria.
At the time, Obama noted a trend – that ISIS is being hit hard in the Middle East, where its core base of support lies.
“We are certainly not dealing with leashed animals or with a JV team”, Huckabee said.
ISIS released a statement following the events in Paris, claiming responsibility. Former Arkansas Gov. Huckabee called early Saturday for revoking the Iran nuclear deal and maintaining the US prison at Guantanamo Bay.
“You saw what happens when you toy with a tiger, and ISIS is a tiger”.
