Francois Hollande To Meet Morocco’s King Mohammed VI
HM King Mohammed VI on Saturday expressed solidarity with France in the wake of Friday night’s terrorist attacks in Paris where nearly 130 people were killed as a result of a series of co-ordinated gun and bomb attacks.
The meeting was announced by the Elysée in a statement but no details about the goal of the meeting or the topics to be discussed were revealed.
But Moroccan security officials had provided information that helped their French counterparts launch a raid in the Paris suburb of Saint Denis on Wednesday, sources have said, where Abdelhamid was killed.
According to CNN, Morocco’s intelligence agency alerted French authorities that Abdelhamid Abaaoud – the ringleader in the Paris terror attacks – was in France, a source close to the attacks’ investigation told CNN.
A French police source said four representatives of the Moroccan security services were in Paris on Tuesday to meet the heads of judicial police. While condemning in the strongest terms these horrendous attacks, the King’s message expressed Morocco’s full solidarity and support to the French prime minister.
The woman was one of the lucky people to escape with her life amidst the horrifying massacre which left 129 people dead and 99 critically injured. President Hollande vowed to lead a “ruthless” fight against terrorism.
