Frank Ocean Released a New Music Video, “Nikes”, This Morning
On Friday, Ocean released another longform piece of music called Endless, a 45-minute, 18-track “visual album” which takes a freeform approach to songwriting, and which the Guardian described as “brilliantly confounding”. Ocean is fresh off the release of his visual album Endless and his music video for the Blond single “Nikes”. The first half of the song is mostly spoke-sung pitch-shifted, but toward the end Ocean starts singing. It’s unclear what prompted the title change.
A Google Maps search of the addresses reveals each location is a news and magazine stand: Centrefold International, LA; Mulberry Iconic Magazines, New York; Charlotte Street News, London and Chicago-Main Newstand, Chicago. As you continue to digest Endless and patiently await what’s supposedly in store this weekend, here are six interesting facts about the mysterious musical guru that is Frank Ocean. The video contained similar footage as what is now on Endless, though it only looped certain scenes and did not contain any songs.
