Frankfurt preview: Jaguar F-Pace
The stunning new F-PACE, which will be available to view on the Jaguar stand throughout the show (17 – 27 September), is previewed today with the release of an exclusive image and film. The single shot and accompanying video only reveal the side profile but already we can tell that the F-Pace is shaping up to be one stunning vehicle, reports Motor Authority.
At the front, the F-Pace will use double wishbone suspension while the rear will feature an Integral Link suspension setup.
The high-riding model also benefits from a few systems refined in the F-Type performance coupe, including electrically-assisted steering and torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive.
Created to marry the versatility of a family crossover with a high-performance attitude, Jaguar claims the F-PACE will offer class-leading interior space with “exceptional on-road dynamics”. Combined with some pretty sophisticated chassis technology, the lightweight yet rigid construction should ensure the F-Pace handles brilliantly and like no other SUV in its segment.
Full specifications and pricing have yet to be revealed, but more details are expected to be confirmed when the new Jaguar F-PACE makes its official public debut later this month.
The crossover will share its platform with the new Jaguar XE compact sedan, which means we can expect a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a high-performance supercharged V6 under the hood, likely along with at least one diesel engine.
