Franklin Graham: Don’t take God out of government
Reverend Franklin Graham is encouraging Christians to get involved in politics in order to make a difference in America.
Graham is spearheading the Decision America Tour, which starts in Des Moines, Iowa on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
In the interview, Graham decried a government that he says has become too secular, pointing to the lack of prayer in schools, the absence of the Ten Commandments in public places and the bickering in Washington.
Franklin Graham will preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, calling the nation to repentance and encourage believers to engage the civil process by voting for godly leaders and prayerfully consider running for local office as the masses gather to intercede for America.
The younger Graham has two rallies scheduled next week, outside the state capitols of Florida and Louisiana.
An estimated 20-30 million evangelical Christians stayed home from the polls in the last election, he said, and Christians must be willing to vote in the next election, supporting candidates that stand for biblical truth and biblical principles, who are also willing to live them.
The Decision America 2016 tour of all 50 states began weeks ahead of the February 1 Iowa caucuses. “We need Christians to vote for politicians that stand for Biblical principles and Biblical truth”, Graham recently told NBC News. “This political correctness, everybody’s afraid of offending somebody or saying something that’s going to turn somebody else off. I mean it’s bad”, Graham said.
“The most important thing we can do is pray. Otherwise, without Almighty God, I promise you, I don’t see any hope for this country”.
“I have no hope in the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, or Tea Party to do what is best for America”, he wrote on Facebook.
On his Facebook page Thursday, Graham called the opening rally “exciting”.
“We need to vote, and we need to elect men and women to office who will lead this nation back to “one nation under God”, he adds.

“The Bible calls us to be salt and light in this world”, he continued.
