October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and one fire department is out to fight the cause.
Alison says she is lucky to now live in New Zealand, having moved from the United Kingdom where they don’t provide free screenings until the age of 50.
“I like bringing that positive interaction and positive awareness, and getting it out there”, he said.
“We believe the media can assist with this because newspapers, TV and radio have a huge influence on our lives”, she said.
