Fresno Planned Parenthood Clinics Latest Target Of Anti-Abortion Videos
Planned Parenthood denies it has done anything illegal, but Republicans are still investigating the women’s health and abortion provider.
The video features Holly O’Donnell, the pro-life licensed phlebotomist from the first installment, describing the uncaring, assembly-line approach to abortions at the Planned Parenthood clinic she was assigned to in Fresno. Gunter said in her blog. He said that he believes Planned Parenthood should be defunded, but he declined to specify whether the group should end its collection of fetal tissue donations.
Carson had previously told CNN that organs and tissue from aborted fetuses aren’t needed for medical research.
On July 28, O’Donnell was the focus of another video in which she claims that there was an incentive to obtain hard tissue because “you’re going to get more money”. “And these mothers don’t know”, O’Donnell said.
Planned Parenthood has been under intense scrutiny for collecting fetal material which is used in medical research.
If a business that exists exclusively to act as a middleman between the buyers and sellers of aborted baby body parts thinks a mere association with Planned Parenthood is bad for its image, things must be really bad.
“I, nor any of the doctors involved with this study, had anything to do with abortion or what Planned Parenthood has been doing”, Carson wrote in a Facebook note that echoed his remarks from Fox.
Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, defended his research on aborted fetuses Thursday and said that the research does not conflict with his call to defund Planned Parenthood.
Workers approached women in the clinic to obtain consent even when they were emotional or in pain, weeping and even vomiting, O’Donnell reported. “What we want is a law that will stop what happened on the videos, and we’ll certainly watch throughout the process as to how they get something like that to us”.
O’Donnell has been featured in previous installments of the nonprofit Center for Medical Progress documentary, calling the practice of organ harvesting “human trafficking”.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Haslam said legislators have been asking about the state’s relationship to Planned Parenthood after hearing some governors who are running for president say their states have “totally defunded” the organization. “So it’s just taking advantage of the opportunities”.
“The problem that I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation”.
