Friends cast reunion coming to NBC
Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc are set to reunite for a two-hour TV special, in celebration of a veteran sitcom director who helmed 15 episodes of their beloved comedy, according to TV Line.
Casts from Will & Grace, Frasier, Taxi and Cheers will also be included for the special, as well as current hits James has worked on from Mike & Molly and The Big Bang Theory.
Back in November, Burrows, 74, marked a milestone by directing his 1,000th episode of television. We’re crossing our fingers that NBC can really pull this off since the whole cast hasn’t wanted to do any kind of reunion in the past. What do you want to see on the special? “It’ll never happen-not happening!”
Explaining further about why the show will never be resurrected, despite the very real desperation fans of the show feel without it, she told Entertainment Weekly: “Friends is about that time in your life when your friends are your family”.
“Once you start having a family, that changes”.
But there’s a catch: Although NBC hopes the stars will appear together, there’s a chance it won’t be possible to get everyone in the same room. “That’s all the show was about that time and those relationships”.
