‘Friends’ cast reuniting for TV special
According to BBC News on Thursday, many attempts have been done to reunite David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow, but to no avail.
Warner Bros. The stars of the hit United States sitcom ‘Friends’The Friends cast have been confirmed to reunite for a two-hour special.
The special is also expected to bring together the cast members of Taxi, Cheers, Frasier and Will & Grace, The Big Bang Theory and Mike & Molly.
The special is set to air on Sunday, Feb. 21 on NBC at 9 p.m. The casts of some of these shows will also make appearances in the two-hour special.
The US network announced the news at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Pasadena on Wednesday.
For the highly anticipated “Friends” gathering, it appears as if there will be one friend left out.
Burrows recently completed directing his 1,000th episode of television, an installment of the upcoming NBC series “Crowded”. “I shouldn’t go into detail”, entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt said in response to a question about whether there really will be a reunion of Friends castmates during the special.
However, NBC bosses already said they weren’t sure if all of them would be in the same room. “I don’t know, logistically, if we can pull that off”.
Should they all be on screen at the same time, it would mark the first time since the series ended in 2004 that they have been seen together.
In the past, the cast has spoken about how unlikely a “Friends” reunion featuring all six main cast members would be, due to their busy schedules.
