Frost advisory set with temperatures expected to fall into 30s

The advisory is in effect from midnight to 9 a.m. Saturday when temperatures are forecast to fall into the lower and mid 30s.

Many counties and communities in Northeast MS can expect widespread frost overnight Friday into Saturday morning.

A graphic released by the NWS office in Peachtree City shows Sunday morning’s temperatures aren’t expected to be any better.

Forecasters say temperatures will drop to near freezing in central and southern counties and to freezing or slightly below in a few northern locations near the Alabama and Tennessee borders.

The National Weather Service is predicting mild weather, with sunny skies and highs mostly in the 50s, along the Wasatch Front on Saturday.

The agency warned homeowners that they should provide shelter for their pets.

Bring sensitive plants indoors or cover outdoor plants with a sheet.
