Fueled by ‘bad blood’ with Kap, Alonso delivers for Dolphins
Kaepernick’s comments defending Fidel Castro were made known on Friday hours before the Cuban leader’s death.
Instead, he managed to stoop even lower. “I’m against systematic oppression and voting is a part of that system, and I have talked at length about why I believe that”. Men do that when they don’t have a leg to stand on. “It’s just not true”.
Kaepernick was questioned by the Herald last Wednesday after he wore a Fidel Castro T-shirt during a news conference in August.
Against Baltimore, Miami may be without starters in the offensive line for the third week in a row.
Following the loss, Kaeperick was again asked to address the shirt he wore of Castro, and the comments he made during the week. “To get that close and come up short, you just think back on all the things you could have done better”.
Kaepernick tried to clarify that he is not a supporter of Castro, only that he acknowledges some things he did.
Alonso grabbed Kaepernick from behind and Suh formed a brick wall at the 2, where the game ended. The quarterback responded by applauding Castro for investing more in education instead of criminal punishment. Kaepernick reminded Salguero, though, that the United States’ history isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.
Which is exactly how I depicted Kaepernick’s comments in a blog that afternoon.
Salguero continued to press Kaepernick, saying Castro “did something that we do not do here” by breaking up families. While Kaepernick criticized Castro, he mentioned what he considered positives about the dictator’s regime.
Kaepernick was booed lustily by the fans in Miami, a community with the highest concentration of Cuban immigrants in the country.
“I’ve worn many Malcolm X shirts”, Kaepernick said. Miami is the last place one wants to praise Castro.
Unlike Kaepernick, I’ll meet an accusation head-on: garbage.
“People are going to say I had a big day”, Alonso said. Many saw it as disrespectful toward the flag and the military.
Following the interview with Miami Herald, Kaepernick, who has been protesting against human rights violations since the National Football League preseason, has been regarded as an admirer of Cuba’s former tyrant, whose regime lasted for five decades.
Miami coach Adam Gase said he’s not thinking about playoff positioning right now, and that didn’t change while watching the Denver-Kansas City game Sunday night.
Said Tannehill, “I am really proud of those guys – really proud of all five of those guys – the way they battled up front”.
Why don’t you take it?
