Full Star Wars Battlefront Beta Stats Revealed, 1.6 Billion Hours Played
Now that Star Wars Battlefront has given fans a good idea of several of the Heroes and Villains set to be included in the game-Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader were both playable in the action title’s beta test, while Emperor Palpatine, Princess Leia, and Han Solo got confirmed a few days ago-developers DICE and EA are giving gamers a glimpse at Heroes’ and Villains’ ships in flight. So how big was it? I confess, I never got a chance to check it out (schedules being what they are), but it seemed as if everyone else I knew was playing the game.
To be exact, 9.5 million players logged around 1.6 billion minutes of collective play time. Try 9.5 million players big.
Marvel Star Wars has officially announced the epic six-part crossover event titled Vader Down. “Our team is working to get Star Wars Battlefront ready for launch, and we look forward to sharing updates coming out of the Beta soon”, reads a blog post from Electronic Arts. Gamers managed to kill each other 293 million different times with their trusty E-11 blasters, but only 1.3 million times with their bare hands-using a Force Choke, that is. To be exact, 783,392 of the walkers went down during the Walker Assault mode. How often this led to an actual Rebel victory wasn’t shared though. There were plenty of complaints about the Empire side having a greater advantage over the Rebel side and that stat would have helped at least put into perspective what the ratio was between the Rebels killing AT-AT units and the Empire taking out the shield generator. The most popular by far was the long-range Cycler Rifle. The infographic ends with the revelation that 6 million players unlocked the jump pack Star Card.
Star Wars: Vader Down #1 hits comic shops November 18, 2015 with several variant covers including retailer variants – but tell your shop you want it now, as final order cutoff is Monday.
