FX Reveals Premiere Dates: ‘AHS: Hotel,’ ‘Bastard Executioner’ and ‘Fargo’
The network has revealed the premiere dates to several anticipated shows, including “American Horror Story: Hotel” and ‘The Bastard Executioner.’. Less than a week later, Fargo returns for season 2 on Monday, October 12 at 10pm, and will take place in 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Luverne, Minnesota. It will span 13 episodes.
FX has set its schedule for the fall, meaning that we now know when the acclaimed Fargo will be back for a second season.
The Bastard Executioner is Sutter’s follow-up to Sons of Anarchy, but set in a very different world.
Following about a month after, American Horror Story: Hotel will come in on Wednesday, October 7, at 10/9c.
Ted Danson as Hank Larsson, Patrick Wilson as Lou Solverson in Fargo. The fifth season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology show stars Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock. Other cast members include Nick Offerman, Bokeem Woodbine, Jean Smart, Jeffrey Donovan, Angus Sampson and Kieran Culkin.
The Bastard Executioner will have a 10 episode arc on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. starting September 15.
FX also announced that they are renewing The Strain and is developing a Louie companion series.
The period drama also stars Katey Sagal, Stephen Moyer, and Flora Spencer-Longhurst. The 10-episode drama follows newcomer Jones who plays Wilkin Brattle, a warrior knight in King Edward I’s charge who is spiritually tortured and broken by the ravages of war, thus vowing to lay down his sword. In addition, sister network FXX picked up the animated comedy Cassius and Clay, which was created by Archer creator Adam Reed and Modern Family’s Megan Ganz.
