Galaxy S7 camera features a brand new Sony sensor
Since the launch of Android Marshmallow, there were news that the phones launching in 2016 will come pre-loaded with Android M. As expected, both the smartphones run on Google’s latest operating system. The event was hosted to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
“Its new Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are much better and a refined version of its previous version”. With the recent release of the Samsung Galaxy S7, their latest smartphone, the company is all set to take things to the next level.
There are rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Note6 may keep the same all-metal design that it has introduced for its predecessor, especially since fans were happy about it. The device may also include the S-Pen stylus, as well as the popular security feature of fingerprint scanner. However, this year will be different.
In addition, the new Galaxy handsets will also come with an “Always On” display; and very high resistance to dust and water, including submersion.
The Samsung phones has a thicker battery, made with water resistant and comes with a microSD card slot, features missing from the S6 line. With this standalone device, users will be able to capture a 360-degree view as a photo or video and play it back within Samsung’s Gear VR headset or through the Gear 360 mobile app on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphone.
The Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch screen whereas the bigger curved S7 Edge features a 5.5.-inch display.
Edge UX, the advanced edge experience available on Galaxy S7 edge, increases efficiency by creating easy shortcuts to users’ most loved apps/features such as email, selfie mode, panorama mode or third party applications.
And the phones keep their cool while you’re playing games with insane graphics.
Featuring UHS-II technology, the new SanDisk Extreme Pro delivers speeds of up to three times the speed of SanDisk’s current best microSD cards.
There is also a new and improved 12MP camera on board. The screen of the headset is a stunningly sharp 1.88-inch IPS display with 960 x 720 resolution and 649 pixels per inch.
Prices are unconfirmed but the S7 and S7 Edge will start shipping in the U.S. starting on March 11th.
