Galaxy S7: Fun new teaser basically confirms it will be water resistant
The publication made the claim after the video released by Samsung Indonesia shows the Galaxy S7 getting wet under rainfall. The device will feature an IP67 or IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a 12MP camera with larger pixels for better low light performance, a 2800 mAh battery, and no USB Type-C port. That last one is interesting, as it’s sure to become the standard soon.
Depending on the buyer’s regions, the Galaxy S7 will be shopped with two variants of processors: a Samsung Exynos 8890 processor, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 in the U.S. Because it has powerful internal hardware, it is good to know that Samsung installed “liquid-cooling” features on Galaxy S7 to prevent overheating.
After months of speculation, Samsung will finally present their newest flagship device, the Galaxy S7.
Now, with just a few days ahead of Samsung’s February 21 event, a video and images of an operational Samsung Galaxy S7 has leaked online.
The Note 6 is expected to launch later this year.
According to the rumors, both the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge will feature enhanced water-resistant capabilities. This is once again confirmed in today’s leak so we’re quite interested to see what changes Samsung has planned for us in this regard.
Samsung also talked up Samsung Internet 4.0, which “now offers a Secret mode, so users can use the Internet freely without leaving behind a trail of information-no browsing history, cookies, passwords, auto-fill data or anything else”.
The model shown in the video is apparently the Galaxy S7, not the S7 Edge model with a display that curves around the sides. Needless to say, the company will upgrade the next-generation Galaxy Note phone’s specifications like it does for every new model, but the RAM is sure to catch fans’ attention.
