Game Changers’ Recap, Two Tribal Councils, Double The Drama — Survivor
My mother came out, and she said jokingly “we should go look for the idol.’ I said ‘mom, I don’t think there’s idols in this game” (laughs).
Andrea- Well the thing is, Zeke is super resilient and he was prepared that this could possibly happen. Andrea wonders if they should get Sarah out.
Sarah, aligning herself with Cirie, discussed what they were willing to do during Tribal.
On her way out of the game, Andrea pointed at Cirie to expose that she knew of her betrayal, but Andrea ended up just playfully tickling Cirie for making the big move. Aubry Bracco showed remarkable focus and finished her tower in a record 6 minutes. If she plays again, I imagine that advice will stick and the friendship they formed will serve her for years to come. Was Sarah going to align herself back with Cirie and vote out Tai?
AB- I think the way it was shown opened a lot of eyes and it will be interesting to see what Zeke does from here. “Culpepper’s got the immunity”. Immunity is back up for grabs.
They got right into the first Immunity Challenge, a house-of-cards style stacking challenge that looked extremely tough to pull off. The last one standing won immunity and it was Brad who emerged victorious among them.
AB: When Zeke was voted out of Survivor you became very emotional even though you wrote his name down – was curious about that moment? When can you win a million dollars in 39 days otherwise. I believe when we found Brad and those coconuts- I think he was looking for idols at that point. And then, I think Cirie has a good shot. The 11th episode will have two tribal councils that will shock the remaining castaways. She tells Culpepper it is a genuine suggestion.
Before it was time to vote, Cirie announced she was going to use the advantage to steal Sarah’s vote, but much to her own dismay, the advantage could not be stolen – and it was non-transferable.
Fans have started speculating who will reach the final top three spot. That made her a threat and that meant she had to go. I think it’s also going to raise awareness for everything out there.
Tribal Council – the members of the jury come in. We asked her all that and more and you can now hear the entire thing on the EW Morning Live podcast below. “There’s a lot of bitter people”. Cirie tells Jeff it is really quiet in camp not much scrambling. “So they sent me home”. Brad Culpepper is maybe Sarah’s biggest threat as he has played a good game, surviving for a very long time when he should have been eliminated. They all agree it was a good move but Cirie says she does not trust Aubrey.
If Sarah manages to make it to the finale, which is a real possibility, there is no one that should stand in her way with the jury. She’s consistently strong in challenges, she fights hard strategically, and she’s well-liked by many people. The castaways have to perch on a pole, lift a bucket of water up and pour in a tube to get a key. That could be Culpepper or Cirie, if either of them make it to the finals. “Let’s just vote.’ And that was the wrong thought”. Culpepper thinks he has the puzzle. Everyone was certainly desperate to win the Individual Immunity. This vote-out, I felt that it made the most sense for everyone to take out Brad. I don’t know if I would have beaten Aubry, but I felt I had a better chance against her than Cirie, of course, and probably against Sarah. She says a lot of lies were being told. If Sarah’s faith in Tai is upheld, Cirie will give her back the advantage.
Sarah sneaks off to read the advantage Sierra left her. She and Andrea really wanted to flip and vote out Sarah, who is clearly really playing hard. She approaches Aubry and Cirie. Anyone who gets closer to her just ends up getting voted out. So I had a lot of paranoia going on.
“I had been thinking of several different things”. Jeff comments that it appears fear is part of the group. She then tries to use the advantage to steal Sarah’s vote, but Sarah says that’s her advantage and that the rules say Cirie can’t steal it from her. Cirie notes she didn’t steal it, it was given to her.
After all of the drama had happened at Tribal, it was Sarah’s extra vote that made the difference. Sarah says wait, “that is my vote and it says it can not be stolen”. I’m sad to say that this season is nearly over, but it truly has been legendary! “Sarah told Cirie in the middle of the day, like high noon, that she would give Cirie this advantage, and had Cirie cooking up plans all day regarding this advantage, but Sarah did not give Cirie that advantage until moments before tribal council”, Bradshaw explained. Sarah was whispering in Tai and Cirie’s ears.
When Cirie caught wind of such news and warned Sarah that Tai was gunning for her, Sarah couldn’t believe that Cirie was buying every word Aubry was selling.
Will a hidden idol be played? He asks if anyone has a hidden immunity idol.
“I was actually considering Michaela, but I was also cool with Tai sneaking in there”. An unhappy Michaela leaves.
After the double elimination total, six contestants are left.
