“Game of Thrones” Actors Rumored to Score Big Paydays for Next Season
Iwan Rheon lied to his Game of Thrones co-stars for 12 months in a bid to keep his character’s death secret.
Back in 2014 it was revealed that the “A” tier were each being paid $A402,000 per episode in season five.
Main cast members Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau have renegotiated their salaries for the show’s upcoming seventh and eighth seasons, the site reports.
We have yet to watch the closing credits on season six of Game of Thrones, but already HBO are making plans for season eight, which is potentially the last ever.
As USA Today reported, the numbers increases aren’t the same in different categories: “Sunday premiere ratings are up 6%, to 7.3 million, while overall TV and on-demand viewership is up 4%”.
Notably, it doesn’t include Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) or Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) – does this mean more bad news for the Stark family? The Hollywood Reporter said contract negotiations for the aforementioned stars have yet to be completed.
On the bright side, their co-stars’ huge raises can only help their cause.
There’s also a “C” tier.
According toChristian Times, “Winds of Winter” is the novelist’s sixth unfinished book in the widely followed series called “A Song of Ice and Fire“.
Season 8 could have even fewer, with the entire show wrapped up in just six hour-long episodes.
