Game Of Thrones Season 6 Casts A New Red Priestess
Based on what we are hearing right now, it certainly seems as though Melisandre is not the only Red Priestess that we are going to be seeing on “Game of Thrones” moving forward into season 6.
When Game of Thrones season 6 picks up in 2016, Tyrion and Varys will be holding down the fort in Meereen following the disappearance of Daenerys Targaryen at the close of season 5 and it looks like the famous former slave city is about to get a little more religion. A fan tweeted a photo of her alongside the caption that reads: “Shae, sibel kekilli is here in peniscola and has been escorted onto set- tyrion hunger flashback?” Tyrion killed Shae at the end of season four when he discovered her in bed with his father Tywin.
Vine Report said that a notice for new casting has been issued.
Meanwhile, Vine Report revealed that Melanie Liburd was casted for a role that fits the description: “emaciated street woman in her thirties, a painfully thin woman living in extreme poverty with a starving baby”.
Deadline is reporting that British actress Melanie Liburd has joined the cast of HBO’s Game Of Thrones as a character they refer to only as The Red Priestess. The website reported before that the priestess is in her mid-20s to early 30s, beautiful, intense, and magnetic.
Richard E Grant, Essie Davis, Freddie Stroma, Ian McShane, Pilou Asbaek and Max von Sydow have all been confirmed for season six, which is expected to air next spring. Mixed excitement and thrill overflows the reaction of the viewers and fans.
