Game of Thrones Season 6 secret out: Jon Snow is alive!
Even though he was murdered in the show’s fifth season finale, hints about Jon Snow’s resurrection have been rampant during the off-season, and HBO seems to confirm that it’s happening by featuring the character prominently on the poster.
The poster is the first step in the promotion of the new season of Game of Thrones.
“I had to pass on wonderful parts because I was attached to Game of Thrones”.
It is possible that the Night’s King knows Jon Snow is not at Castle Black and orders his army to break the Wall down so they can move further south without being hindered by the resourceful Lord Commander.
However the reception has been divided as fans of the fantasy series debate whether bringing Jon back is a wise move. What’s next for him in the series also remains to be seen.
Game of Thrones fans, rejoice: we finally have our first look at season six, and it is all about Jon Snow (Kit Harington)! Okay, okay, relax. Jon Snow is most likely to have much more screen time on GoT Season 5 and will take the story forward in an awesome way.
Well, is Jon Snow still alive?
Played by the 28-year-old British actor Kit Harington, Snow was stabbed to death by mutinous followers at the end of season five, which closed on an image of the young warrior falling bloodied into a ditch. He was also seen on GoT’s Belfast set that month. I mean… maybe. But it’d be awfully odd for HBO to kick off its entire Season 6 marketing game with an image of a guy who won’t figure into the season beyond a funeral scene. Or, HBO is playing a cruel jokes on fans of “Game Of Thrones” and using Snow’s photo in the Season 6 artwork and implying that he is alive to create some buzz for the all new season.
The exact date of the first episode of season 6 is yet to be announced but by now we know to expect it some time in April 2016.
