Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 6 leaked
“This confirms the compromise of Episode 4 of Game of Thrones Season 7, earlier this afternoon”.
The previous leak was related to a distribution partner in India, and HBO has confirmed to The Verge that the company accidentally posted it on its own platforms. And HBO has no one to blame but itself.
HBO acknowledged on Wednesday that episode six of the seventh season of Game of Thrones, which is set to air on Sunday, leaked online for a brief period on Wednesday.
“There are several high-quality copies of the episode floating around at the moment, ‘ reports the Torrent Freak website”.
While it’ll be easy enough to avoid torrents of the episode, it’s going to be a fair bit more hard to avoid spoilers altogether. A thread on Reddit had a screenshot of a TV screen airing the upcoming episode.
The episode, scheduled to air August 20, was available to Nordic and Spanish subscribers for about an hour before being removed. The suspects were connected with Star India, which has the rights to air the series in the country. Interestingly, this particular shot wasn’t a part of the trailer released by HBO for the next episode.
A third-party vendor uploaded the episode by mistake, and it was taken down after an hour, BuzzFeed reported.
This leak has come at the worst possible time for the show, as it is now gearing up for the Game of Thrones season 7 finale.
It has been announced that the last two episodes of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 enjoyed the highest viewership ratings to date.
This season, that struggle has gotten even harder, with Thrones episodes leaking online after being stolen from HBO in a cyberattack.
