Games with Gold September 2015 free games wishlist
Microsoft’s Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson has just informed his followers on Twitter that with the August 2015 update, the Xbox App for Windows 10 will now support 1080p/60fps streaming from Xbox One. For users with bigger game collections, sorting between those has also been improved as you can now see multiple titles under the same starting letter, or even browse alphabetically. All you’ll need to do is go into the Xbox app in Windows 10, go to Settings > Game Streaming and set the video encoding level to Very High.
At present, there is no information regarding the ability to stream PC games to the Xbox One.
Other additions to Windows 10’s Xbox app include the ability to right-click on another player from a user’s friends list and easily choose to send a message or invite them to a party.
Streamers will also be able to control notifications on their desktop, check up on friends’ achievements, and see more details about friends’ recently played games. A second tile will also reveal when you last played it, and Gamerscore and Achievement completion percentages for the highlighted game.
Compare Achievements with a Friend – You can now compare your achievement status with one of your friends who has played the game. “If you click on the game, it will take you to the Game Hub, where you can see a list of all of your friends who have played the game sorted by most recently played along with their online status”.
Originally available only through a workaround (and not a very stable one), 1080p 60fps streaming is now available as an option in Windows 10’s Xbox App. The list of games that have been automatically discovered has also been updated. You will know you have received the update when your version number is 8.8.6000.00000 or higher. For all the new updates you can check out the Xbox main page.
The hack that unlocked high-quality streaming from the Xbox One to a Windows 10 PC is a hack no longer-Microsoft has pushed it to the world at large as part of its August update.
