Gamescom 2015: Need for Speed meets racing icons with new trailers

“We’re honored to be working with these icons – they live and breathe the lifestyle we’re looking to recreate and have been such an inspiration to the team as we return Need for Speed back to greatness”, said Marcus Nilsson, Executive Producer at Ghost Games. It will focus around five separate racing icons known as Magnus Walker, Ken Block, Nakai-San, Risky Devil and Morohoshi-San.

Electronic Arts may have flown into Gamescom 2015, but it’s Need for Speed that came riding into this year’s media briefing with some new information regarding the upcoming series reboot. This is just one of the game’s storylines, with four others attached to another four driving icons who you’ll have to impress with your skillz.

There’s plenty of gameplay to take a look at which is great.

Besides these new specifics, EA and Ghost Games have also confirmed that Need for Speed blends live-action footage with Frostbite 3’s visuals so that the player’s customized vehicle can appear in the cut scenes and keep fans immersed in the racing experience.
