Gaming Deals & Discounts: Free PlayStation Plus Games for January 2016 Unveiled
The official PlayStation Blog has revealed the complete list of free games that subscribers to Sony’s PlayStation Plus can download for the month of January.
PS4 owners will be able to download Hardware: Rivals and Grim Fandango Remastered. For the PlayStation 3, these include “Medal of Honor Warfighter” and “Dragon: Age Origins”.
Owners of the PS Vita, Sony’s niche handheld, will be able to download Legends of War Patton and Nihilumbra. Inspired by the PS2 classic “Hardware: Online Arena, ‘ “Hardware: Rivals” lets you challenge your friends or enter the online multiplayer arena on your own and experience epic vehicular mayhem with multiple maps, game modes, and special events”.
Though January is close, fans can still get the December games available in PlayStation Plus, according to IGN.
As stated in the report, the two main games being offered are throwbacks to classic titles of the past, remastered or remade for the modern gaming platform. GF: Remastered boasts the same grim and riveting noir point-and-click adventure game, but with heavily revamped graphics. One of those games is “Dragon Age: Origins”, a game from the “Dragon Age” series.
Yoshida already mentioned the launch of PlayStation VR, but we also have Uncharted 4, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Persona 5, The Last Guardian, Dreams, Gran Turismo Sport, and more to look forward to.
While waiting for Sony to unveil the free games next month, PlayStation players can take advantage of the PlayStation Network’s Holiday Sale.
