Gary’s choice: Top recruit’s pick could help swing power
The family of ESPN 300 No. 1 overall recruit DT Rashan Gary indicated that he’s narrowed his signing decision down to Clemson and MI.
The 6-foot-4, 286-pound defensive tackle from Paramus (N.J.) Catholic returned from his official visit to Clemson, his fifth and final official visit, and now needs to sit down and come up with a decision. Gary joked there could be 100 people around the table.
Gary will announce his decision live on Sportscenter Wednesday. “And we put them together and we’re going to go over them Sunday”. The Tigers’ coaching staff met with Gary as recently as last week with hopes of landing the high profile prospect. In addition, Gary has repeatedly been reported as saying that he values a good education just as much as wherever he plays football.
“Thanks to my mom I haven’t had to deal with none of them”, Gary said.
“We loved it”, Coney told Dohn. “Lafayette was looking for an H-back-type of kid”, Wayne Valley coach Roger Kotlarz said. While he never made that proclamation himself, most of the signs have pointed towards the Wolverines. Wednesday he heads off to MI and this weekend he will be at Clemson.
With National Signing Day just three days away, Clemson is pulling out all the stops on their top recruits for next year.
Let’s take a look at where Gary’s recruitment stands. “I got to see the academic presentation, and remember, I didn’t get to see everything when we at Clemson because it was Easter weekend when we went and the whole staff was not there”. I’m not talking about the football players, and the football players were phenomenal, but the whole student body.
