Gas prices expected to keep falling till year’s end
Indiana is among 20 states that could see gas price averages drop below $2.00 a gallon before Christmas according to a report issued by GasBuddy.
“We’re confident our projections give consumers more than accuracy: We think they’ll help them identify some savings that should come in handy at Thanksgiving and Christmas”, DeHaan said in a news release.
Gas prices across the country are dropping now that we’re more than halfway through summer.
Analysts at the website GasBuddy.com are predicting gasoline prices will begin to drop next month with the result being a national average of $1.98 per gallon by Christmas. There are several factors that drive down the price after Labor Day.
Contributing to the forecast for declines “are regional, national and global supply-and-demand fundamentals that continue to place more downward pressure on crude oil prices than upward pressure, and that trend is expected to continue well into 2016”, the company said.
However, even if Florida’s average gas price for a gallon of regular dips below $2, it’s unlikely that will occur in Palm Beach County, where the average is always substantially above the state’s average.
One is that fewer people are taking vacation road trips so demand for gas falls.
The lowest price in the Harrisburg remains at $2.46 a gallon at Costco, Lower Paxton Township; Exit 77 Travel Plaza in West Hanover Township; and Sam’s Club in Swatara Township.
They believe a switch to a cheaper winter grade gas coming soon, means a large supply of discounted gas for drivers.
