The average in the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice market was about $1.81 on Monday, down about 7 cents from a week ago and about 16 cents from this time last month, according to AAA data.
AAA Northeast announced Monday that self-serve, regular is selling for an average of $1.83 per gallon, a penny above the national average.
The average price of regular gasoline dipped another 5 cents in the past week, landing at a statewide average of $1.92 per gallon.
A barrel of oil dipped down to $26.55 last Wednesday – the lowest daily settlement since May 7, 2003 – then climbed to $32.19, the highest price since January 8. The lowest was $1.48 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That’s the highest the US has seen since March of 1990.
