GeekWire: New version of Minecraft unveiled for Microsoft’s Windows 10
A new version of the blockbuster game is coming for Windows 10, and it will be available when Microsoft’s new operating system debuts on July 29.
The owners of the PC version of Minecraft will get Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta for free, PCWorld reported. I’m not exactly sure why but thereafter the game will be patched up to par.
The current versions of the game will not be replaced.
Multiple control schemes! Switch between controller, touch, and keyboard controls with little to no effort! The really cool part about it is that it automatically adjusts on the fly. There are a few games that already do this on Steam mostly games that are ported over from home consoles.
Windows 10 users will be able to play with mobile players aswell, though Microsoft hasn’t yet revealed how the coding will work, as the Android and iOS versions have a lot less content that the future Windows does.
Play online and local multiplayer with other Pocket Edition players thanks to a free update, due to arrive soon after launch. For those who don’t know, a lot of Windows 10 properties and games can be streamlined to the Xbox One by connecting an Xbox Live account to Windows 10.
So it’s no secret, we’ve put in a TON of time into Minecraft, building, farming, crafting, conjuring, and anything else you can pretty much think of, but Minecraft: Story Mode is about to open our eyes to a whole new realm of Minecraft.
It isn’t the first platform where the game has been added.

Telltale Games’ official YouTube channel had the premise for Minecraft: Story Mode outlined.
This new version is effectively the Pocket Edition of Minecraft for all Windows 10 devices.
