George and Amal Clooney celebrate first anniversary: ‘We sure are having fun’
George was speaking at the New York Film Festival’s 15th anniversary screening of his movie ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’ and he joked he was so nervous about seeing himself on the big screen, he would need to turn to alcohol.
George and Amal exchanged wedding vows in Venice, Italy, past year in front of a star-studded assortment of friends including celebrities Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Bono and Emily Blunt. “We sure are having fun”, the actor, 54, told People on the red carpet. He arrived with his wife, Amal Clooney, with whom he recently celebrated one year of marriage.

As for what the Ocean’s Eleven star learnt as a newlywed, George added: “That’s a good question, but I can’t officially tell you any of those things because that would be wrong, and [Amal] would be upset that I told anyone what I’ve learned”.
The couple were attending a screening of O Brother, Where Art Thou? George starred alongside John Turturro & Tim Blake Nelson, who have been additionally seen at Tues.’s screening.The tale takes place within the deep south throughout the 1930s & follows three escaped convicts as they search for hidden treasure while a constant lawman pursues them.
A year ago George and Amal married in a wedding covered by HELLO! magazine, in conjunction with People.
“That’s the plan, that’s what we’re trying to do”, he explained, however he conceded that they were struggling to stick by the rule.
Still, George learned a lot by taking direction from the Coen Brothers.
