George Clooney’s ER Reunion Somehow Includes Hugh Laurie as House
Clooney reprised his role as Dr. Ross who checked on a patient, played by the show’s host Jimmy Kimmel. It was glorious. Glorious!
Soon enough both stars where shouting out medical-sounding gibberish over their ailing patient, Kimmel.
So, as you can imagine, everyone was pretty excited to see him donning his medical whites once again for a special Jimmy Kimmel ER “reunion” of sorts.
“He wanted to be here, but he’s got a thing with his family: Taco Tuesday”, Kimmel confessed. La Salle had jury duty, according to the sketch, and Sherry Stringfield allegedly couldn’t get an Uber to take her to the studio. Hugh Laurie dropped by to fill in as Dr. House, though that technically puts the clip in the realm of a Tomorrowland reunion.
“That’s bad”, Clooney, 54, said while he looked under Kimmel’s bed sheet with a flashlight.
The two actors appeared as their respective doctor characters in a silly bit where they offered up their medical services to a bed-ridden Jimmy Kimmel and had to examine his, er, “Little Jimmy”. It’s too good. Somehow, “Rapper’s Delight” was involved, too.
Amazing. It wasn’t much of an “E.R.” reunion, but if Hugh Laurie had diagnosed Jimmy with sarcoidosis it could’ve been a classic “House” episode.
There’s been lots of fictional physician eye candy to raise our temperatures over the years.
