George Lopez leads anti-Donald Trump chant at stand-up show
The Mexican-American comedian then encouraged the crowd to chant “f**k that puto” over and over again as he said Trump’s name.
George Lopez is not likely to be casting a vote for Donald Trump anytime soon.
Pitbull was presented with the Youth Idol Award in the ceremony that took place in Miami, and he included a few words about Donald Trump in his acceptance speech.
“This country is better with Latinos in it”, Lopez says before and after the call-and-response chanting.
Well, it seems as though the 54-year-old has finally had enough, because at a stand up performance in Arizona on Saturday, the comedian really let the ex Celebrity Apprentice host have it.
The term “puto” is most certainly controversial, with Holly R. Cashman, associate professor of Spanish linguistics at the University of New Hampshire, discouraging its use back in 2014. Lopez has been lashing out at Trump ever since the GOP presidential hopeful made disparaging comments about Mexican immigrants.
