George Lucas Really Liked Star Wars 7
So the question is, what does the man who gave us the galaxy far, far away think about this new chapter in the franchise? “I’d make myself miserable”, he explained. When asked about the matter, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy simply remarked, “he really liked it”.
Kennedy went on to confirm that Lucas will indeed attend Force Awakens premieres in Los Angeles and London. That’s when Lucas decided it was time for him to go and do his own thing, and Disney to do their thing. “All I’d do is make them miserable”.
“The last time I anybody saw me in a Stormtrooper outfit was when we rescued the princess on the Death Star”, Hamill said in a video posted online, which has been viewed more than 800,000 times. And I don’t have the control to do that anymore.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned about George is it’s that he’s never, ever held back”.
With the plethora of Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage, promotional images, and rumors circulating the web, it seems like it’s impossible to avoid seeing spoilers online, but rest assured, director J.J. Abrams promises that nothing has been spoiled in the trailers. He was also somewhat critical of the direction Disney is taking the franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison Ford may have spilled the beans about a certain character’s path. While chatting with fans during a Twitter Q&A, the Star Wars veteran revealed his favorite scene in the new movie.
This is a good sign I guess. But just like a wedding, you can bet if there are any single people at the wedding, they are going to get hit on pretty hard.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be followed on December 16, 2016 by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VIII on May 26, 2017, and the Han Solo anthology movie on May 25, 2018.
