George Lucas ‘really liked’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Lucasfilm president
If you don’t feel like fighting the crowds or would rather see the film after the busy holidays are over, it is nearly guaranteed that some of the plot is going to be spoiled for you.
Lucas’ seal of approval on the new Star Wars film is made all the more impressive by the fact that he has not exactly had a glowing relationship with the franchise in recent years.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be followed on December 16, 2016 by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode VIII on May 26, 2017, and the Han Solo anthology movie on May 25, 2018. The new attraction will feature opportunities to meet the infamous Darth Vader and Chewbacca.
Box office analysts are predicting that Abrams’ “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” could be one of the top three films of all time, according to Variety.
“We have the fun stuff”, Weissman said. Even though Lucas may have sounded bitter about it, he understood the current direction the franchise is going. Lucas sold the company to Disney, and since owning the rights to the movies, Disney has not released a new movie. “One thing I really love about this show is it’s cool to have a light saber and fight these villains, but the idea that you’re facing your fear and standing up to your fear is awesome to me”.
“George was creating a world that we wanted to go back to in order to tell a story we’d never seen yet”, Abrams said. Either way, they’ll find out if Ford slipped up on December 18.
Let’s go over some of the new experiences that are now available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as of this week.
Disney has expanded Star Wars merchandise to include cosmetics, jewelry and purses, quite a change for a line historically dominated by light sabers and spaceships.
“Star Wars”, he said, “became known as the biggest boys’ brand in history”.
