George Strait to release new album, play Vegas in 2016

“Cold Beer Conversation” is the first song off his new album, and was written by Al Anderson, Ben Hayslip and Jimmy Yeary. “I’ve worked slightly in some places, and I’m really passionate about this new cassette that’s commencing”.

To coincide with the ticket pre-sale, Strait has also partnered with internet radio station Pandora to deliver a mix tape celebrating his biggest influences, newest album and his Las Vegas performance dates, which you can listen to here. I always shoot for that … you’ve gotta go in the studio thinking that way. The album will be available exclusively through WalMart and Apple Music. The iconic country singer made the announcement Tuesday at a press conference in Las Vegas, which was fitting for part of his surprise. He will work two different programs recurring, on April 22is that23 and September 9-10, along with wonderful guests Kacey Musgraves.

“I wish I would have stuck a phone in his shirt, as ridiculous as that may sound”, said Strait. Now the King of Country has one more trick left up his sleeve – the Strait From Texas pop up store in downtown Nashville.

The country music legend ended four decades of touring with his record-setting “Cowboy Rides Away” tour but has said he’ll continue to play the occasional gig and has a deal with MCA to produce additional records.

“… I’m also very excited to be coming back out and playing for the fans out there”, Strait says.
