George W. Bush praises Jeb’s ‘strong backbone’ in new ad
“I think the next president needs to be a lot quieter, but send a signal that we’re prepared to act in the national security interests of this country – to get back in the business of creating a more peaceful world”.
“I’ve learned that the presidency is a public leadership position, where you have the power to communicate and you got to do it”, he said.

For his part, after initially struggling to answer questions about his brother’s invasion of Iraq, Jeb Bush in recent months has embraced both his presidential father’s and brother’s legacies. She added that she’d see other candidates before Tuesday’s primary if she could, adding that she liked Bush’s clear plans. “Putin, the killer. Putin, the worst”.
When he read about a woman who said she had been a big fan of him as Florida’s governor, but now that she lives in New Hampshire, said she didn’t want to “waste a vote” on a candidate who has no shot at winning the state’s primary, he called her. Bush says his brother is a “leader” who has that experience, a key tenet of the former Florida governor’s campaign.
Following a dismal showing in the Iowa caucuses and amid a tough fight in New Hampshire, the Bush family has come to Jeb Bush’s aid on the trail.
“Wow. Mom, my crowd sizes normally are not this large”.
Another voter, from Meredith, N.H., said she arrived on the fence, but left planning to vote for Bush.
“She’ll pick her spots just because, again, at her age you can’t expect her to campaign all the time”, Black said. “I’m proud of my dad”. He owns up to the “establishment” label at every campaign event now, saying it comes with the territory of being “Barbara Bush’s son”. “That doesn’t bother me a bit”, he said.
The Clintons’ daughter Chelsea is also making a pitch for her mother in New Hampshire. “How could they expect George to campaign with so many people around him singing the blues”. “But like all families, we’re a little different, each one of us”. Regardless, Bush seems to have realized he doesn’t have much to lose at this point.
