For his part, after initially struggling to answer questions about his brother’s invasion of Iraq, Jeb Bush in recent months has embraced both his presidential father’s and brother’s legacies. He owns up to the “establishment” label at every campaign event now, saying it comes with the territory of being “Barbara Bush’s son”. “That doesn’t bother me a bit”, he said.

The Clintons’ daughter Chelsea is also making a pitch for her mother in New Hampshire. “How could they expect George to campaign with so many people around him singing the blues”. “But like all families, we’re a little different, each one of us”. Regardless, Bush seems to have realized he doesn’t have much to lose at this point.
