George Zimmerman retweets photo of Trayvon Martin’s body posted by admirer
Now, the 31-year-old might be able to add another despicable entry to his list – because he allegedly retweeted a graphic image of Trayvon’s dead body.
George Zimmerman continues to demonstrate why he should be serving time in jail.
“Z-Man is a one man army”, the tweet said. As proof of his claim, the post is accompanied by the corpse of Trayvon Martin with investigators at the scene, according to Opposing Views. Twitter removed the image on Sunday, the New York Daily News reported, but the handle used by Mr Zimmerman and the person who originally posted the photograph, remain active.
Twitter backlash about Zimmerman’s retweet was swift, including Talib Kweli tweeting his disgust. Let that sink in America. He also referred to President Obama as a “baboon” in one of his many racially charged tweets.
Last month, Zimmerman got into a spat on Twitter with a user who messaged him, “It’s slap-an-idiot Wednesday”. If you recall back in August, Zimmerman responded to Twitter user by tweeting, “We all know how it ended for the last moron that hit me”, a clear reference to the night he shot and killed the unarmed Martin.
Zimmerman, who received death threats after shooting and killing then-17 year old Martin in 2012, was acquitted of murder charges but hasn’t had any shortage of run-ins with the law since then. “Give it a whirl cupcake”. He was accused of assaulting his ex-wife and another girlfriend in separate incidents.
