Get a Nexus 6 for just $249 on Amazon
Without any special fanfare, the LG Nexus 5X has dropped its price in the Google Store. The app is usually $9.99 per month.
Unlike the deals that are usually available during Black Friday, Cyber Monday or the holiday season, the recent price cut on the Google Nexus 5X appears to be permanent. Keep in mind that the prices are in Australian dollars so don’t be surprised by the numbers. The tweet has also revealed that the price of the 32 GB model has also been reduced to $399 from its original price of $429.
You should now be left holding the Google Nexus 6 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow installed.
The Huawei-made Nexus 6P now starts at AUD$799 for 32GB, AUD$899 for 64GB, and AUD$999 for 128GB.
Currently, there is no discount available on the price of Google Nexus 6P.
The LG-made Nexus 5X, one of the best Android phones around according to Mashable’s Raymond Wong, is a 5.2-inch device with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, a 12.3-megapixel back camera, a 2,700mAh battery and 2GB of RAM. The catch is that despite matching performance specs (a little better in some regards), users have Reddit have noted the Nexus 5X to feel smoother than the Nexus 6; but some have asserted that it’s the other way round, so we’ll leave that as a tie.
