Getting to know Michigan State

Alabama’s spread over Michigan State has moved to a whopping 10 points in the Cotton Bowl, while top-ranked Clemson remains an underdog, now up to 3.5 points, against surging Oklahoma for their meeting in the Orange Bowl.

“The team as a whole, when he (went) out we basically promised him that we will get to the playoffs“, safety Montae Nicholson said via The State News.

“Just the things you’ve seen throughout (preseason) camp and the different things you’ve seen from different players”, said Pendleton, who as a sophomore walk-on had a clutch 2-yard touchdown catch in the 2014 Rose Bowl win against Stanford.

Spartans’ fifth-year senior All-American Jack Allen, who redshirted his first season before earning FWAA Freshman All-American honors in 2012, said he sees plenty of future talent lined up across from him in practices. The high-tempo offense is one that can strike any time which makes them a threat any time they’re on the field. The Sooners have had mediocre seasons over the a past few years, but under the direction of head coach Bob Stoops and led by scrappy QB Baker Mayfield, the Sooners look like teams of the past who dominated the Big 12 and college football as a whole.

Clemson players and coaches will return to Clemson on Christmas night, then hold a morning practice on December 26 before flying as a team to Miami for its third Orange Bowl in the last five years.

Michigan State was the only one of the four that didn’t stake a claim to No. 1 in any category.

Saban has also won three national championships and four SEC championships. The Spartans bounced back with three straight wins to close out the regular season, highlighted by a last-second 17-14 win over Ohio State.

Michigan State won a competitive Big Ten over in convincing fashion with most of its toughest games away from East Lansing, while Clemson remains the nation’s last unbeaten and has been arguably the most complete team all year.

Will Alabama get taken down by another Big 10 team in the first round of the playoffs again this season? The more we start working on Michigan State we probably don’t do quite as much of that. Only time will tell, don’t miss out, it’s playoff time. The game’s victor will advances to the CFP national title game in Glendale, Arizona, on January 11.
