Giants’ Eli Manning not anxious about brother Peyton: ‘He’ll bounce back’

This is not the Peyton Manning we’re used to seeing.

Manning will not suit up for the game against the Bears. “Could that be the reason?” I guess it always could be.

“To me, that’s an easy way out”, he said.

The news came on Monday afternoon in a press conference, as Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said that the quarterback will be unavailable for the game in Chicago.

“He’s smart. He had the opportunity to learn under one of the best”, Fox said. “And I know that, and I respect that, but I feel like I need to make this decision and I know through my conversations with him and everything, I have no doubt that it’s the best decision as we move forward this week”.

Osweiler, 24, threw for 146 yards and a touchdown against an interception after replacing Manning.

Brown continued his excellent season by catching 10 passes for 139 yards and scoring two touchdowns. He found confidence and a groove. He’s taught me so many things.

Though he has played sparingly for the Broncos during his four seasons with the team, this will be Osweiler’s first start.

“I was anxious about him”, Kubiak said following the game. After all, after taking more and more from college and even high school offenses, it’s about time NFL teams looked to pee-wee football for inspiration. He’s grown from that. “If Peyton is healthy and ready to go, he’s our quarterback”. At this point, home field advantage, and possibly even a first round bye for that matter, is nothing more than a pipe dream for Denver. “It’s all yours starting today. I think that is something that happens naturally the more game reps you get”.
