Giants finally show Coughlin the victory formation in win over Dolphins
So the Giants are now 6 and 7, tied atop the NFC East with the Eagles and Redskins with three games left in the regular season. The point is, watch out for the Giants in these next three weeks of the 2015 NFL Season.
Miami’s leading tackler had another strong game on Monday, finishing with a team-high 11 tackles and recovering a fumble for the Dolphins only takeaway of the night.
They wouldn’t have done it without another virtuoso performance by Manning. McAdoo could have been satisfied riding Manning’s hot hand (87 percent completion rate), but he mixed in an effective ground attack.
Odell Beckham Jr. reminded us all of what makes him great in the Giants’ win over the Dolphins on Monday with 166 receiving yards and two scores.
Then, even better, Manning went out and showed his teammates the way.
The team also didn’t seem to want to stick with the run-which seemed to be working most of the time. But of all people, his coach dissed that hypothesis today on a conference call. “You just got to address them, and those things will be addressed one-on-one with those individuals….” “These circumstances are very obvious and if you’re going to play well, you better play well now”.
When asked about his future beyond this season Campbell said, “I’ll be honest with you, I just want to win”.
Prior to last night, the Giants had difficulty closing out games. Flowers aggravated the sprain and came out of the game during the fourth quarter. Receivers are making plays and defense getting stops.
Beckham gave Manning credit for cooking up the pivotal play.
“He was one of the best receivers coming out (of college together)”, Beckham said, of Landry.
“We’ll certainly start that way”, Coughlin said.
Beckham’s connection with Landry was a big storyline entering the night.
After that, they are set to face the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles, and each of those games could go either way. Thankfully this week, the Giants’ offense closed out the victory on the arm of Manning and a couple of bruising runs by Rashad Jennings.
Defensive coordinator did what he could to get pressure on Dolphins’ signal caller Ryan Tannehill.

His second catch, an 84-yard reception over the middle which put the Giants in the lead for good, made him the second player in National Football League history to have six career touchdown receptions of 60 or more yards at age 23 or younger, joining Harlon Hill, who played from 1954-1962 for the Bears, Steelers and Lions.
Before I get into playoff scenarios and what we need moving forward I think we need to talk about the run game.
“The whole theme all week was to play 60 minutes and to finish a game, finish the game, be able to make the kinds of plays necessary when the game is on the line”, Coughlin said. Campbell said, “It’s always something different in the run game and where we were clicking in the first half, we didn’t quite get those in the second half”. This week, they host the 13-0 Carolina Panthers. They close the season at home against the Ravens (4-9). Campbell won his first two games as interim head coach of the Dolphins but has gone just 2-5 since then.
